SHINY PENNY

“This band is an extremely tight-knit group of musicians who offer a diverse style, are fun to watch and even more engaging to hear.” -Music Connection

About SHINY PENNY:

Hailing from Kokomo, Indiana, SHINY PENNY is a rock/pop quad, who has shared the stage with acts such as Bon Jovi, Jane’s Addiction, Jon McLaughlin, Switchfoot, The Griswolds, NEEDTOBREATHE, and Colony House, to name a few.

Consisting of Brad DiCarlo (guitar/bgv), Dean Schimmelpfennig (vocals/keys), Eric Hyman (bass), and Scott “Stix” Ayers (drums), SHINY PENNY comes together combining 70’s rock riffing, modern alternative/rock styles, and funk/blues influences with a pop mindset, striving to rejuvenate and revive the modern rock genre.

Likened to groups such as Imagine Dragons, Maroon 5, Twenty One Pilots & The Fray, SHINY PENNY has a fresh and edgy approach to song writing and production, leaving each song catchy, relatable, or thrilling.

Musically, the band successfully taps the power pop and alternative rock veins and gives listeners a sound that is unique, quirky and stands out from the crowd. SHINY PENNY was recently awarded “Best Local Pop Band” by Nuvo.net. The pop melodies combine with unrelenting rock energy and lyrics that fans can relate to – about love, relationships, and uncertainty. SHINY PENNY creates timeless music and unforgettable live shows, steadily expanding their audience across North America, and the entire world.

Beyond the songs, SHINY PENNY has a deep passion for connecting with people, building a community of love, purpose, hope, and unity. “The music is just a vehicle for our burning desire to connect,” says Brad DiCarlo.

Currently playing throughout the Midwest on their 3 released EPs with an ever burgeoning fan base, expect to hear and see more from SHINY PENNY in 2018 and beyond.
