The Vocal Chameleon—every era, one voice.

 

Adam Austin was born and raised in upstate NY, spending his school days in the music rooms of grade school, to a BS in music history and appreciation at Syracuse, and started out on what was to be his love and his career, being a popular versatile one man band.

Making his way around New York and New England states for a decade, he settled in Palm Beach, Florida, where he performed nightly in The Leopard Lounge of the Hotel Chesterfield for more than 2 decades as well as country clubs and opulent homes up and down the “Gold Coast”.

Popular anywhere he was, Adam has entertained stars like Eartha Kitt, Lionel Richie, Jimmy Fallon, Drew Barrymore, as Rod and Penny Stewart were regular loyal fans of Austin in the lounge, and when the late Regis Philbin referred to him as “The Vocal Chameleon”, a moniker was struck and it still remains today.

After becoming the “big dog in the small yard”, Austin has now set his sights on a new home, in the home of jazz itself, Chicago. And with him he offers up his huge and ever growing history and appreciation of music to everyone who simply desires the greatest artists and vocalists of all of the eras.
