Classic Music. World-Class Musicians.

Laurel Canyon Collective is a seven-piece band performing the music that came out of Laurel Canyon — the few winding streets in the Hollywood Hills above Los Angeles where, at the end of the 1960s, a generation of songwriters ended up living within walking distance of one another. The set draws on Jackson Browne, Joni Mitchell, The Byrds, The Eagles, Neil Young, Bonnie Raitt, The Doors, The Mamas & the Papas, Poco, Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor and Crosby, Stills & Nash.

Assembled and led by Dennis O’Brien, the band brings more than four decades of professional experience to the material. Its members have shared the stage with The Eagles, Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, Dolly Parton, B.B. King, Luther Vandross, Bruce Hornsby, America, Poco, Firefall, Don Felder, Three Dog Night, Rare Earth, Koko Taylor, Little River Band, Air Supply, Tommy James and the Shondells, Roger Hodgson, Burton Cummings, Willie Dixon, the J. Geils Band, Tower of Power and The Turtles.

These are interpretations rather than impersonations. Songs are introduced with the stories behind them, so the evening is as much about the era and the artists who made it as about the repertoire itself. The result is a polished, closely engaged concert that suits theatres, festivals and premier events.
